Spartan-3 系列的FPGA是否提供XtremeDSP邏輯片，我在視頻系統里那些部分可以應用Spartan-3？
Not at this point of time. XtremeDSP Slice is targeting for high performance DSP application while Spartan series of FPGA is targeting for cost sensitive application. Spartan-3 itself has Hardware Multiplier that can performance DSP functions efficiently with a maximum performance of 20GMAC/s. Spartan-3 has widely been used in Video Mux, Input video scaling, Image enhancement and also as a co-processor to DSP.
Q2 對DSP設計來說，是否趨向于同時采用FPGA和DSP芯片？
We believe this is a natural result of the increased demand for more bits/second to be passed over a fixed media – and the resulting requirement for extremely high amounts of DSP processing. The other driver for using both FPGAs and DSPs is that the electronics design world is becoming more and more complex, with the introduction of new voltage and high speed I/O standards and memories, and FPGAs make an ideal companion to interface to the profusion of standards used today.
